Please click here to find the appropriate sign-up forms! We are a Third Party MED-STOP consortium administrator. We can help you join our consortium and set you and your employees up for Random Drug/Alcohol Testing to ensure that you stay up to date with DOT regulations. If you decide that this is the right choice for you we will handle all Random Drug/Alcohol testing notices and make sure that both you and your drivers are informed of a required test and that you know where the nearest testing station is to you. All done for you so you have one less thing to worry about! PLEASE NOTE: If your company has TWO or more drivers then Drug and Alcohol Training must be completed to stay up to date with DOT regulations!! Why should I join this consortium? - Regulations state that any company with more than one owner or driver may operate his own random testing pool for employees. But, if this is done, the owner or driver is then responsible for all the paperwork and also is responsible to take all the necessary steps when a employee is selected for a random test. All About Trucks can do this for you at a reasonable price so you have one less thing to worry about.
How do I join the consortium? - To become a member of the consortium, you must submit an application with a payment of the $75 annual membership fee. Additional payment for a drug test will be required whenever you are randomly selected. When we receive payment and complete the sign-up procedure we will send you the Custody and Control forms that you will need to have with you if you are selected for a random test. A DOT Pre-employment drug test MUST be performed for all new commercial drivers before they begin any driving for your company. The employer must provide information to the new hire about where the new hire can go to get a pre-employment drug test. When we receive the result of your test we will inform you of the result via either email or fax. You must pay the annual fee by January 1st of every year. If you choose to renew your membership you only need to pay the renewal fee, there is no subsequent paperwork to be filled out. You may cancel your membership at any time or for any reason by notifying All About Trucks or simply not renewing your membership.
Who pays the costs for my membership? - The decision of who is to pay the annual fee and the random test fees is left up to the employer and employee. There is no regulation that states who must pay, only that payment must be made to abide by the regulations.
Must I remain a member during off season? - Memberships in the consortium are based on an on-going basis; therefore if an employee will be off duty for an extended period of time (1 month or more) then this must be reported to us. Upon his return he must do a follow up or return to duty testing. If off duty for less than a month this is not required but will count against the driver and could even result in a new pre-employment drug test.
